Interim Manager: Administration (3-month contract/secondment) in the School of Journalism and Media Studies

The School of Journalism and Media Studies invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team. 

Main Objectives

To manage all the academic, administrative and financial aspects of the School of Journalism & Media Studies (which includes projects, staff research accounts), and the Academic component so that they function effectively, and within the parameters of University regulations and policies.

The Requirements

Matric plus a B.Degree/Diploma preferably in management and/or business administration, plus 5 years relevant experience, where such experience includes: - 

  • At least 5 years of critical administrative experience. Administrative experience within Higher Education and/or a Journalism/Media environment will be a distinct advantage.
  • At least 5 years of critical financial management experience.
  • At least 3 years of management experience, including staff supervision, motivation, and conflict management.
  • Sound Computer literacy.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 14):

Basic Pensionable Salary per month:                          R47,449.00 per month
